Dr. Sulaimon Abimbade | Systems Modelling Awards | Best Researcher Award

Dr. Sulaimon Femi Abimbade has held various professional roles, including serving as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Pure and Applied Mathematics at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), initially as an Honorary Assistant Lecturer from November 2019 to June 2023, and subsequently as a Lecturer II from June 2023 to the present. He gained industrial experience as Treasurer at Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO), Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State, during an Industrial Training Scheme from September 2014 to January 2015. Additionally, he contributed as a Mathematics Tutor at Kiddies International School, Katsina State, under the National Service Scheme from November 2016 to October 2017. Dr. Abimbade currently serves as an Industrial Training Supervisor at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology from January 10, 2024, onwards. He also holds roles as the Program Coordinator for the Pre-degree Science Program at LAUTECH since June 23, 2023, and as a member of the Ad-hoc Committee on the LAUTECH-University of L’AQUILA partnership opportunity from January 24, 2024, onwards.

Dr. Sulaimon Femi Abimbade has been recognized with notable awards and honors throughout his academic and professional career. In 2023, he received the Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences (NSPS) Best Ph.D. Thesis Award in Mathematical Sciences and was also granted the NSPS Life Membership Award (LNSPS). His academic excellence was evident early on, as he was the top-ranked student among his classmates in Biotech Master Courses in 2014. Furthermore, Dr. Abimbade distinguished himself by receiving the Nigerian Government Scholarship through the Nationwide Entrance Exam in both 2007 and 2011, reflecting his commitment to academic achievement and scholarly pursuit.
