He further specialized in Psychiatry, obtaining FCPS from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 2012, and later earned FRCP (Glasgow) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2020. As an International Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Uddin currently serves as an Associate Professor (Psychiatry) at the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh. With a rich background as Assistant Registrar and Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Mental Health, he also contributed significantly as the National Consultant for Mental Health at WHO, Bangladesh. Dr. Uddin is actively engaged in psychiatric training programs and is a master trainer of mhGAP intervention guide. His commitment extends to academia as an adjunct faculty member at the Public Health Department of North South University.
