Dr. Mahmoud Azami has a solid educational background in the field of biomedical engineering and biomaterials. He obtained his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Biomedical Engineering-Biomaterials from Amirkabir University of Technology (Polytechniques) in Tehran, Iran, in 2010 and 2006, respectively. His Ph.D. thesis focused on the development of a biomimetic scaffold for bone tissue engineering under the supervision of Prof. F. Moztarzadeh, Dr. F. Orang, and Prof. M. Rabiee. During his master’s studies, Dr. Azami conducted research on bone tissue engineering using gelatin/hydroxyapatite scaffold, also under the guidance of Prof. F. Moztarzadeh and Dr. F. Orang. Prior to his graduate studies, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Material Science and Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, in 2003, with a thesis on the heat treatment of selective laser sintering bodies supervised by Prof. A. Dr. Mahmoud Azami, PhD, is a passionate researcher and educator in the field of tissue engineering and biomaterials. His diverse research interests š§Ŗ range from additive manufacturing (3D printing) methods in tissue engineering to biomaterials synthesis, including calcium phosphate and bioactive glasses. He is particularly interested in scaffold development for tissue engineering and bone tissue engineering, focusing on biomimetic scaffolds for bone repair. Dr. Azami also explores biomineralization and the design and synthesis of nano and microstructural materials for medical applications, leveraging nanotechnology in medicine and tissue engineering. Additionally, he is involved in the development of controlled drug delivery systems, š aiming to improve patient care and treatment outcomes.
