He then went on to obtain a degree in Fisheries Biology from the Universidad Laica “Eloy Alfaro” de ManabĆ­ in Manta, Ecuador. For his master’s degree, he studied Marine Resource Management at the Centro Interdisciplinario de Ciencias Marinas in La Paz, Mexico, and later pursued a Ph.D. in Marine Sciences from the same institution.
