He served as a lecturer at Harambee University from September 2022 to April 2023, where he taught courses on programming fundamentals, information systems, emerging technologies, web programming, and research methods in computer science. Concurrently, he was a lecturer at Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) from July 2022 to June 2023, delivering lectures on programming fundamentals and data structures and algorithms. He has also contributed to local NGOs, such as LIVE ADDIS, where he conducted refresher training on adaptive digital technology for youth in October 2022 and provided training on effective social media use, nonviolent communication, and youth engagement in development in August 2022.In addition to these roles, Hayelom served as a part-time lecturer at Admas University from May to July 2022, focusing on system simulation and modeling, and trained participants in MySQL Server administration at the Intelligent Training Center from April to August 2022. He worked as a data manager at TZG General Development Research from January to April 2022, where he led data collection for the PSNP household beneficiary database and provided training for data collectors. Earlier, he was a part-time lecturer at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) from April to October 2021, teaching system simulation and modeling and human-computer interaction courses. He also held a part-time lecturer position at Unity University from May to August 2021, focusing on system simulation and modeling.
